Okay...this is the actual first day I am starting my blog!!! I am still going to create a post for the days before today; they just won't be as detailed as the ones from this point on. Up at 0430 once again to bring it! We didn't actually start until 0600 (planned start time was 0530, but sh*t happens). Stretching out this morning, before the workout, I felt sore a little bit everywhere, but mainly in my lats and triceps. Plyometrics (or jump training) is an @$$ kicker! Say hello to your quads...they will be on fire multiple times throughout this workout. Today was my first experience with plyometrics and it's definintely challenging. I hope I'm not too drained for Muay Thai / No-Gi tonight.
One hour of Muay Thai that consisted of a 50 push-up, 75 sit-up, & 100 body weight squat warm-up. Then we moved on to some Thai pad work consisting of combos including leg checks, kicks, punch combos, & foot jabs. Approximately 6 rounds of working / holding.
One hour of No-Gi consisted of a light warm up run around the mat, 2x shrimp + 2x forward roll, and a little stretching. We then went over / drilled some arm bar, oma plata, triangle transitions. Then we sparred for 3 - 4 rounds.
I'm exhausted! Tomorrow morning is going to be rough!
